We love to cook but there are certain downsides, such as cleaning up after the fact.
If you are someone who likes to bake, you probably have all sorts of unsightly stains inside of the oven that are hard to remove.
Yes, ovens often come with a self-cleaning mechanism but this does not always get the best results. During the self-cleaning process, the heat might burn away the mess but some stains just won’t budge.
Luckily, there’s a DIY oven cleaner that works to get the toughest stains off, and it only requires a few simple ingredients!
What you need for the DIY oven cleaner:
-1 and 1/4 cups water
-1 cup vinegar
-1/2 cup lemon juice
-1/4 cup dish soap
There’s a good chance that you have all of those ingredients readily available at home.
All you need to make the cleaner is to grab a nice, clean spray bottle. From there, simply add all the ingredients, close the lid, and shake it all up. That’s it! Then, spray it all over the oven (don’t be stingy). Make sure that the door gets plenty of the spray as well. Then, wait a bit while the cleaner works its magic. After letting it sit for a few minutes, give it a wipe and the tough stains should wipe right off!
Amanda Cole tried this hack from Pinterest and had great success. She shared a photo of her sparkling oven on Facebook and said, “Tried the Pinterest homemade oven cleaner, and I’m sold on it. Will never buy another oven cleaner again. Worked amazing, sprayed it on and let it sit. Hardly any effort at all to wipe it out.”
