Faith Collins is a TikTok user who has a great hack that will help you avoid the fees.
She thought outside of the box and now we can all reap the benefits. Instead of packing a bag full of her clothes, perfumes, tanning lotion, and shoes, she decides to place it all in a cardboard box. From there, she simply ships it to her desired location, as opposed to paying the luggage fees.
It was all part of an experiment, as she wanted to see if it would be easier for her to send her things to the vacation destination. After all, why would anyone spend like this if they are able to potentially avoid it? “Let’s see how much it costs to ship my luggage to Florida versus paying $150 to Spirit Airlines,” Faith shared on TikTok.
Once she shipped off the bulk of the stuff, the rest of it would fit easily inside a backpack. According to the Colorado resident, it only cost her $34 to ship the items one way. Even when you double these costs for a round trip, it pales in comparison to the $158 that Spirit was asking for.
