Tex-Mex is truly a category all its own. These dishes draw inspiration from Mexican flavors, but often add ingredients that Texans (or Americans) know and love. For instance, this Beef Dorito Casserole. Doritos might be far from traditional, but they sure are tasty. Bursting with flavor and packed with cheesy goodness, this casserole is sure to become a family favorite in no time.
To make this comforting dish, you’ll start by browning ground beef with onions and garlic. Next, layer your casserole dish with a generous helping of crushed Doritos, creating the perfect base for all that cheesy, beefy goodness. I used Cool Ranch flavor in this recipe, but nacho cheese would also be a great choice. You’ll then layer on the beef filling, doritos, and cheese. Top it off with a little more cheese and pop it in the oven until bubbly and golden brown.
Serve up a big slice of this casserole and top it off with sour cream, salsa, and green onions for a meal that’s as satisfying as it is flavorful. Whether it’s a weeknight dinner or potluck, this dish is guaranteed to be a hit with everyone at the table. I hope your crowd loves it as much as we do. Happy cooking!
