Tiny home transformations are always spellbinding to us, as we struggle to wrap our minds around why or how they even take place.
This video is a prime example of that. When Jenna Kausal of Tiny Homes Giant Journey took the time to meet up with Michael Ladden of Drive the Globe, the resulting clip was nothing short of amazing. They told the story of how this 1994 military vehicle was converted into a tiny home.
It is now a spacious and stylish overlander that can be used for nomadic living. Ladden was more than happy to provide a further explanation of the design of the vehicle. In order to live comfortably, he decided to place all of the vehicle’s storage on the outside. This allowed him to deck out the inside of the vehicle in the manner that he saw fit.
The interior’s content might surprise some of our readers but it looks awesome in there. There’s a fold-up table, a computer desk, a bed that pulls out, a full-size kitchen and a very roomy shower.
Can you believe that he fits all of these amenities inside 175 square feet? It is a testament to what we can do with a small amount of space if we are properly motivated.
“Mike has spent years traveling the world in custom overlander rvs, and he has perfected the art of converting vehicles to tiny homes. This is his 3rd overlander tiny house, and it happens to be a retired military truck that he’s modified into a modern and surprisingly spacious home on wheels,” the video description reads.
This is one of the coolest videos that we have seen in some time and it makes us wonder if we could manage to live in a tiny home. For those who like to travel a lot, it seems like the best of both worlds. It would be nice to go places whenever we want, without having to go through all of the hassles that are normally associated with long distance trips.
No packing, no reserving hotel rooms, no worrying about what happens to your home while you are away. It is a pretty sweet deal when you really stop to think about it. All you need to do is get into your vehicle/home and take off. If you would like to learn more about this overlander, please take a moment to check out this mind-blowing clip.
