Are you ever just sitting and relaxing on the couch, maybe watching a movie, and suddenly just absolutely need a warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie? No? Just me? Oh well. Well, if/when that happens to you, there’s only one thing to do… Make this 1-Minute Chocolate Chip Mug Cookie.

You don’t get to hold the cookie in your hand, it’s true. But you get to scoop it out of a mug with a spoon instead, because it’s extra ooey-gooey and full of warm, melty chocolate and just-done cookie dough. Oh, and the best part? It will literally only take you one minute to make.

Oh, and you only need eight ingredients. And a mug. It all sounds too good to be true, I know. But it’s not. You are one minute away from soft cookie bliss.

You want a six to eight ounce mug for this. Just add one tablespoon butter to it, and then microwave it until it melts. Then stir in one tablespoon each of white and brown sugar, a quarter teaspoon salt, an egg yolk, and a splash of vanilla. Once that’s mixed, add a quarter cup of flour and stir, and then a couple of tablespoons of chocolate chips. You can use mini or regular — it just depends on how large you like your pockets of melty chocolate!

And then you want to microwave for 60 seconds. It’s best to do this at 80% power but if it’s too much effort to figure out the settings on your microwave, I won’t tell anyone. It’ll be soft and definitely gooey in the center and that means it’s absolute perfect served å la mode or with a nice dollop of whipped cream.
