The @miss.clean.with.me account is responsible for today’s madness and it is run by a 21-year-old student teacher named Bonnie McNamara. Once she shared the video on the platform, it spread like wildfire and we can see why. These are the topics that are always the most hotly debated. It makes all of the sense in the world to us.

After all, the vast majority of us are asked to pick up after ourselves and wash our own cooking utensils. This clip has already managed to rack up over 22 million views.

When the clip begins, she puts the wooden cooking spoon into a clear glass cup. From there, the cup is filled with steaming hot water. It does not take long for the gross aspect to kick in.

As the water penetrates the wooden cooking spoon, all sorts of food particles and debris that are left over from past meals start to make their presence felt. The TikTok world did not appreciate receiving such a close glimpse into what lurks beneath the surface and we can see where they are coming from.

In many instances, ignorance is bliss and we are willing to bet that’s how a lot of people felt about this one. “I’m not doing this to my years old wooden spoons,” joked one viewer. “I don’t wanna know. It boosts my immune system.”

That’s one way to cope, we guess! Kudos to Bonnie for being willing to boldly go where few have ever gone before.
