Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

When we have an animal in our life, we want to do all we can to care for them and all of their needs. This would include feeding them properly, giving them a nice place to sleep, and looking after their health when necessary.

This is not only true for those who have dogs and cats as a part of their home, it’s also true for those who have chickens.

Most people wouldn’t think twice about buying their dog or cat a customized bed or perhaps a nice sweater to keep them warm in the winter. When you compare it with what people will do for their chickens, however, it really is comparing apples to oranges.

Chicken owners just seem to have a lot more creativity, which is why we weren’t surprised to hear about a wild West-themed chicken town created for some cluckers.

Mitzi Ballard went on Facebook to say how her husband, Tracy, really takes care of their chickens in a special way. He had created a backyard area for their chickens and according to Country Music Nation, an entire town was created for them. The beauty of it is in the details, and when you see it for yourself, you realize just how much those chickens mean to them.

In the following picture, you can see the saloon, livery, jail, and water tower:

It just keeps getting better when you see the detail that went into the livery.

What’s a chicken to do when they get parched? They can head over to the saloon for a drink.

Of course, if you have a saloon in town, then you’re going to need to have a jail sooner or later. I’ve heard that is chickens can get pretty rowdy.

It seems like the blacksmith shop is a popular place to hang out.

It looks like a nice town to visit.
