Fast food opinions can vary. But the one thing that we can all agree on, is that fries are a must-have side to any fast food meal we might get. Of course, this can also open up a debate about which fast food restaurant has the best fries around.
Personally, I’m a McDonald’s girl. I love their fries as I find them both crispy and tender all at the same time. Granted, that is just my opinion. Everyone is different. But for those who love Wendy’s, or at least those who enjoy Wendy’s fries, get excited because the fast-food chain is now remodeling its fries.
According to CNN, the new fries will be crispier than ever before. What’s better is for the month of October, you can earn some free stuff for just buying Wendy’s fries!
Those who buy a medium order of Hot & Crispy Fries through the app are given a chance to free food on different Fridays during October. These free offers can be unlocked through the Wendy’s app. The offer started on the 1st of October and will continue through the 29th.
You can earn items such as a Dave’s Single, 10-piece crispy or spicy nuggets, Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, or a classic chicken sandwich. All you need is to buy the fries first, but if you are strategic, you can end up with a whole meal for just the small price of some fries.
While freebies are all well and good, the thing that we really are interested in knowing about is the new and improved fries.
Well, according to CNN, a press statement by Wendy’s shared its new fries come from a change to their formula. The new Hot & Crispy Fries are based on their name. Supposedly, they stay both hot and crispy thanks to heat retention.
No doubt that there will be a noted difference next time that we pull up to the drive-thru.
