Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

The Internet has been a real source of things to do, now that we are spending most of our time at home. We have been watching Netflix until we just can’t take it anymore and now we are looking for something else to do. Perhaps you would be interested in starting a new hobby, and Walsh Family Wine would like to help you do so with at-home wine tastings.

The winery is family-owned and they came up with a brilliant idea: They put together box sets of wine that you can purchase and have shipped to you so you can participate in a virtual winetasting on the following Friday evening. These virtual wine tastings take place on Facebook live and are known as “DRINKWELL.” The last of the series took place on April 3rd, 2020 and a panel that was made up of five people would talk about the taste, pairings, and creation process for each of the wines.

Walsh Family Wine will continue to offer the DRINKWELL tasting events and you can join in by purchasing the bottles for the Friday event coming up. Just make sure that you order early enough so that you have the wine in time for the tasting. It seems as if they are offering the tasting set a week prior to the tasting, so check out their website and Facebook for the next opportunity.

D R I N K W E L L week four 🙏🍷This week we are hosting a “choose your own adventure” tasting (!!) featuring not one,…

Other brands are also getting in on the tasting experience from home. Winc is offering a four-bottle monthly wine box and hosting free wine tastings on Instagram live.

If you are thinking that you don’t have anything to do this Friday night, you might want to rethink that position. If you enjoy good wine and good education, then a virtual winetasting is exactly what you need.
