While there are a wide range of hacks that are currently available on TikTok, we love to see the tips that are a bit more….shall we say….divisive? The discourse that takes place around these types of polarizing hacks is too funny to us.
So, what is the topic that has the world of TikTok divided this week? As it turns out, they are bickering over this lemon squeezing hack.
TikTok user @boomtisca shared the hack, and since it was posted in late June, the clip has already drawn nearly 3 million viewers. It’s easy to see why once you take the time to watch it for yourself.
Turns out, knowing how to squeeze a lemon is not a common sense thing. There are different ways to go about it. However, once you see her technique, you might start to question how you do things – or maybe not.
“If you have one of these, I can almost guarantee, unless you know this trick, you’re using it wrong,” she says while holding a squeezer.
Apparently, you should not be placing a lemon half in the juicer with the cut side up. This is the common error that plagues so many of us when we embark on this process.
In order to avoid this issue, @boomtisca has an easy solution. She slices off a bit of the bottom, which is supposed to make things much easier.
“That one step makes a huge difference,” she says, and we are inclined to agree. It makes too much sense not to work.
Some may be wondering why she didn’t just flip the lemon over in the squeezer, allowing the cut end to face the bottom. Regardless of where you stand, you have to admit that it’s probably not something you were already doing.
