This TikTok user is here to issue a crucial warning to those who are planning on going on vacation anytime soon.

As it turns out, those swim-up pool bars are better off being avoided. They may look cool but there is more to them than just aesthetic appeal.

“Vacation pro tip: Avoid the pool with the swim-up bar,” said TikTok user @twofoodpiggies.

The video is an absolute must-see. “There were literally intoxicated guests admitting that they were peeing in the pool here,” she shared. This is the sort of thing that makes too much sense once we are told about it but we honestly did not consider it before. The video was taken at a resort that is located in Cabo, Mexico, in case anyone was wondering about the location of the clip.

“One girl didn’t understand why some people were leaving the pool to use the washroom,” she continued. This is a strong allegation to make but we believe it. There are a lot of people who believe that it is okay to pee in the pool and at least some of them are openly admitting it now. It’s the sort of behavior that will turn us away from these places for good.

The CDC even decided to issue its own plea on this matter back in 2019. They asked people to stop urinating in pools after they received the results of a Sachs Media Group online survey. They interviewed over 3,000 Americans and 40 percent of their respondents admitted that they have been peeing in pools.

These are sobering numbers for anyone who spends time in public pools. Swim-up bars would seem to be especially problematic because alcohol is being served. As we all know, the pee tends to flow a bit more freely once the drinks are also flowing.

Peeing in the pool is also a danger because each urination decreases the effectiveness of the chlorine that is being added to the water for everyone’s safety.

The comment section was a war zone, as people were sure to claim that there is no problem with this tactic. There were even competitive swimmers that were cosigning the sentiment.

We are going to go ahead and say that we do not cosign it! Where do you stand on this one? If you are anything like us, you are going to be avoiding the swim-up bars going forward.
