If you are anything like us, you pine for the rapid-fire pizza solutions that are provided in films like The Fifth Element and Back to the Future II.

While these ideas may still seem a long way off, these former SpaceX employees are preparing to usher us into the future. Three former SpaceX engineers, Benson Tsai, Brian Langone, and James Wahawisan, have founded the new start-up: Stellar Pizza.

This automated truck service is slated to bring gourmet pizzas right to your doorstep. 23 fellow SpaceX employees are also going to be assisting with this venture, bringing over 100 years of collective rocket science experience along with them.

We cannot wait to get our hands on one of these bad boys. Yes, the process is fully automated and handled by robots but that does not mean that the robots will be left to fend for themselves. There are no worries in this regard. Executive chef Ted Cizma is going to be on hand to supervise.

He is going to ensure that each pizza is of the highest level of quality. For those who are wondering when they will be able to enjoy a pizza of their own, they are slated to open early this year. It’s a great idea that is long overdue, that is for sure. Customers will soon be able to enjoy a delicious pie that was made en route to their chosen destination.

The future is now. If things go according to plan, this group is also planning on expanding its operations. With any luck, they will be able to offer up a wide range of other food options before too long.

You can up with Stellar Pizza on Instagram, Facebook, and their website!
