We won’t sit here and pretend like Candy Corn is the most universally loved Halloween candy out there. Some people are all about it… and some people think they are akin to little triangles of sugary wax. We get it. It’s divisive as candy comes. But! You don’t have to love Candy Corn to love these sweet little individual cheesecake jars. They’re cool and creamy and cute as can be. They borrow that lovely orange and yellow layered look from their namesake, but none of the candy controversy, we promise. They’re utterly delicious and perfect for your next Halloween party dessert table.

We just love desserts that come in individual servings (and not just because it means we don’t have to share). You can even top these with a lid and send them home as party favors if you wanted! We think these are great for parties because you can make them ahead so easily and just take them out of the fridge when you’re ready for your guests. (Plus, did we mention there’s no baking involved?) They’re creamy and colorful and just the thing to usher in All Hallows’ Eve!

Ingredients
  • For the crust:
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • For the yellow layer:
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups milk
  • yellow food coloring, as needed
  • For the orange layer:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Cool Whip, thawed
  • Orange food coloring, as needed
  • For the topping:
  • 1 cup Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy corn candies
Preparation
  1. For the crust:
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well-combined. Put 2 tablespoons of mixture into each jar, pressing down firmly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, make the yellow layer:
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk and add yellow food coloring until desired shade is reached. Pipe or scoop mixture into jars up to the halfway point. Place jars back in fridge to chill.
  5. For the orange layer:
  6. In another medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add in the sour cream and vanilla extract, beating until well combined. Gently fold in Cool Whip. Add orange food coloring and mix until the desired shade is reached. Scoop or pipe mixture into jars, filling almost to the top.
  7. Top each jar with Cool Whip or whipped cream and garnish with sprinkles and a candy corn. Enjoy!
