Themed foods tend to taste much better than their original counterparts, don’t they? Whether you are someone who enjoys character-based fruit snacks or mac and cheese that comes in special shapes, you can definitely relate to what we are talking about. When it comes time to celebrate the 4th of July, you know red, white, and blue snacks taste the best.
Oreos and Chips Ahoy are getting in the 4th of July spirit with red, white, and blue cookies. They’re already available in stores! It’s speculated that the cookies were originally decked out in red, white, and blue to honor the 2020 Summer Olympics, but since it’s been postponed this year due to COVID-19, they’re representing the 4th of July instead!
The Oreo comes with a special touch, as red and blue creme has been added to the traditional white creme that is always used. An American flag and the Olympic rings have been placed on the front, too. These are some of the most patriotic cookies that we have ever seen in our lives. The Chips Ahoy also have their own festive touches, with blue and red chips being added to all of the cookies.
If you would like to take home some of these cookies for yourself, take a moment to head to your local Wal-Mart. Don’t worry about the taste, either. The cookies may have a different look to them now but they still taste the same.
Whether you are planning on having some buddies over for the 4th of July or you want to do something a little more low key, both of these cookies are sure to hit the spot. Pass the milk, please!SKM: below-content placeholder
