Ingredients
  • 6-8 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (5.5 oz) box Red Hots
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Add apple slices to a glass 9x13-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  3. Sprinkle red hots over the apples, then pour the water all over the dish.
  4. Bake apples for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to evenly dissolve the red hots.
  5. Serve warm or chilled. Great over vanilla ice cream or as a side dish with chicken or pork.
