For Dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tea bag of chai leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar, for topping
For Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tea bag of chai tea leaves
For Cookies:
  1. Preheat oven to 350℉. In a large bowl, combine butter, oil and sugar; cream until smooth.
  2. Add in powdered sugar, egg, vanilla extract and tea leaves until well combined.
  3. Sift in remaining dry ingredients: flour, salt and baking soda; stir in until well combined.
  4. Allow dough to chill for one hour.
  5. On a lined cookie sheet, place 12 1-tablespoon dough drops evenly. Press dough flat and sprinkle sugar on top. Bake 9-12 minutes.
For Glaze:
  1. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, cinnamon and tea leaves. Add more milk or powdered sugar until desired consistency.
  2. Allow cookies to cool and drizzle with icing. Enjoy!
