Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 pounds raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
Preparation
  1. In a bowl combine soy sauce and mirin. Season with pepper and set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet on medium heat add butter and sesame oil.
  3. Once butter is melted, add garlic cooking until it smells fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add in shrimp, tossing to combine the shrimp with the butter, sesame oil, and garlic.
  5. Add in sauce, tossing well to coat the shrimp with the sauce.
  6. Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked and the sauce has reduced.
  7. Add salt and pepper if needed.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
