Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
Preparation
  1. Stir flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger in a large bowl.
  2. Knead in butter and continue to mix until combined, about 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Scoop out 1 tablespoon-sized portion of dough and roll into a ball. Place each rolled ball evenly spaced on the cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
