Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium lemon, sliced

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Using a paper towel, gently pat to dry off any extra moisture from pork chops.
  3. Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Cayenne, brown sugar, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Dredge pork chops in seasoning mixture, pressing to make sure all seasoning adheres to meat, and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a large oven-safe frying pan over medium high heat. Brown pork chops, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Add lemons to pan and transfer to oven. Bake 10-15 minutes or until pork chops register an internal temperature of 145°F. Allow pork chops to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
