Cornflake Peach Crisp

Ingredients

  • 8 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 4 cups slightly crushed cornflakes
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until peaches are well coated.
  3. Transfer peach mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  4. In medium-sized bowl, cut together all topping ingredients until crumbly. Use hands if mixture isn’t coming together.
  5. Sprinkle topping over peaches.
  6. Bake crisp for 30 minutes or until bubbling and the topping begins to brown.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
