Copycat Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll Icing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, room temperature

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl beat butter until smooth, slightly pale in color, and lump free, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add in the vanilla and salt, beating to combine.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar in batches, until it is fully incorporated.
  4. Add in the heavy cream.
  5. Spread over warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy. This frosting lasts for one week in the fridge with plastic wrap covering the top and stored in an airtight storage container.
