Ingredients
  • 2 ( 8 oz) cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup 7Up or Sprite soda
  • Ice cream for serving
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Separate the crescent dough triangles. Working one at a time, place spoonful of cherry filling at the base of the triangle, then wrap dough around them and pinch edges to seal. Evenly space dumplings in the prepared baking dish
  3. Add butter and 3 tablespoons of cherry sauce (from can) to a medium-sized microwave safe bowl, heat until butter has melted. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour mixture evenly over dumplings.
  4. Pour soda between the dumplings (not over the top).
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden in color. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Easy and delicious!
