In case you were curious, Oreo’s partnership with PFLAG will be continuing this year. The cookie giant and the nation’s largest family and ally organization released a short film entitled Proud Parent. The story is centered around Amy and Jen, a couple who are preparing for a very unique challenge. Bringing a new partner home to meet your family for the first time can be tough for anyone, but especially for the LGBTQ+ community.
We won’t be providing any spoilers, of course. We will say that there is minimal dialogue, though. In addition to the short film, there is also going to be a limited edition cookie release. The #ProudParent Oreo Rainbow Cookies are not going to be sold in stores, though. Instead, the packs will be given to those who show allyship for the LGBTQ+ community.

This is a one of a kind promotion and we hope that we see more companies embracing these types of philosophies in the future. It’s a rare ray of sunshine during an otherwise dark year.
Living in a world of love and acceptance should be the dream for all of us. It is great to see a company that is as committed to this cause as we are.
