Oreo threw their hat into the mystery cookie ring earlier this year, inspiring a lot of discussion in the meantime. The cookie may have looked like the same Oreo you are used to….but it came with a twist. Were you able to guess what it was? There was a contest that was associated with the mystery Oreo as well. Those who guessed right got the chance to win a cash prize.
$50,000 could have been all yours if you were able to guess correctly. Now, after months of collecting guesses from all of the Oreo fans out there, the company is ready to provide an answer. The creme that was used for these cookies was actually churro flavored! According to the folks at Nabisco, this was not even the most popular guess.

Most had assumed that the mystery cookies were graham crackers. Others decided on gingerbread and funnel cake. Nice try, though. Maybe you will have better luck next time! Don’t cry too much. If you need to, you can sop up those tears with some delicious Oreos. Others made guesses that were closer to the churro. Snickerdoodle cookies and French toast also made the cut.

Someone even said Dunkaroos! We miss Dunkaroos but that is beside the point. The contest did not end until November 10, so contest entrants had to wait quite a long time to find out more about whether their guesses happened to be correct. The limited-edition flavor is known to the world now. That means you better head to your local store now before supplies run out.

This could be your last chance to enjoy the churro flavored Oreo and we do not want you to miss out. That’s why we are providing you with this valuable heads up. This is not the first time that the company has provided its customers with the chance to partake in a mystery flavor competition. The last time this happened, it was Fruity Pebbles.

The original contest took place back in 2017 so maybe Oreo is going to be doing this every other year going forward? If so, we are totally here for it. Hopefully, our guess will be right next time. It would be nice to take home all of that sweet, sweet prize money. In the meantime, be sure to share this story with your friends and loved ones who love a good Oreo. They will treasure the chance to stock up on this limited-edition flavor.SKM: below-content placeholder
