Like most fads, food trends come and go with the changing tides. Sometimes we love a good nostalgic dish like banana pudding with vanilla wafers, or ambrosia salad. Of course, there are some dishes we want to forget altogether – like shrimp jello salad.

One such trend that seems to have gone by the wayside is sloppy joe’s. Think about it – when was the last time you had a sloppy joe? One food blogger set out to answer that question. After some extensive interviewing, she found that most people hadn’t had a sloppy joe since the 90s.

Another surprising food that has dropped in popularity is tapioca pudding. Food experts believe the reason for this is because tapioca pudding is notoriously tedious to make, and there are a lot of ways to prepare it wrong. If it’s not done right, the end product looks pretty gross. It even got the nickname, “fish eye pudding.” With a name like that, no wonder no one is eating this stuff anymore!
