Oktoberfest has always been on my bucket list. I have been to some celebrations locally, but if I could ever go to Germany and enjoy the real deal, it would be the trip of a lifetime.
Although that trip is still in the future, I may just be loving Oktoberfest even more at home this year, thanks to Snyder’s of Hanover.
Now that they have teamed up with Captain Lawrence Brewing Company and come up with two craft beers, life is good.
Both of those beers are infused with German-style pretzels. They’re named Pretzel Märzen and Pretzel Frücht.
SnyderBier Pretzel Märzen is sure to be a favorite, as it has the malty taste that we appreciate about a good German beer but it adds the taste of mini pretzels by Snyder’s of Hanover.
If you are more in the mood for a malt, then the Pretzel Frücht flavor is one to consider. It includes the taste of infused guava and passionfruit along with mini pretzel overtones.
It is said that the beers have the distinct smell of pretzels when you open the can, but the flavor is not overwhelming. That is especially true with the Pretzel Frücht, because of the addition of guava and passionfruit.
