Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

The world as we know it changed in 2020. The pandemic affected people in ways they never thought possible, and it created a lot of negative news throughout the year. At the same time, however, we realize that “necessity is the mother of invention,” and Nissan has taken that saying to the next level.

Now that many people are working remotely and still craving adventure, Nissan offered the concept for a mobile office solution. That concept, which will be coming in the form of the NV350 Caravan Office Pod will keep you mobile but still allow you to get things done.

The “office pod” may not be huge, but you could fit a desktop and monitor into the space that goes beyond the exterior of a van. You can even fit a regular office chair into the pod, allowing for comfort while you are working on the go.

Other features that are included in the Caravan office pod include electric sunshades, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and even a coffee maker. Everything you would want from a modern office come together in a small space, allowing you to transport yourself where you want to go without losing touch with the office.

It is one thing to work inside of the office pod but their office also offers some relaxation with an included roof deck. Imagine being able to kick back and relax anywhere your van will take you and only being a few feet away from the office.

Interestingly, Nissan didn’t wait till the pandemic to come up with the NV350 concept. Even though we are only beginning to hear about it now, the concept van was first released in 2018. At that time, it was created for woodworkers but the office version was not very far behind.

I guess 2021 is looking up after all.
