The New Year has already started to hit different time zones. While most of us are probably happy to see the back of 2021, there is still a little bit of apprehension for 2022. We don’t know quite what to expect from this new year, and after the dumpster fire that has been the last two years, we’re really hoping that 2022 is kind to us.
But regardless of what nightmares might be lurking in 2022, there is already some good news that we can look forward to: season four of Stranger Things!
The Netflix hit is set to return in 2022, although the exact date of its release is still unknown. But don’t get too sad just yet.
As reported by Showbiz Cheat Sheet, the release date for the fourth season of Stranger Things might have accidentally gotten leaked by a Georgia tour company.
The rumored leak is said to have happened in an Instagram post that claimed the series will return to Netflix in July 2022.

Prior to this supposed leak, Deuxmoi had shared another rumor that the Netflix series would be returning to the streaming site on July 1, 2022 – the Friday right before the Fourth of July weekend.
This rumor would be easy to believe as fans of the show might recall that the third season of “Stranger Things” was released on the Fourth of July weekend in 2019. In fact, both the first and third seasons of the show were released to Netflix in July.
So, guess we will just have to wait and see if the rumors are true.
