We live in a world that is often thought of as being a “me first” environment. Although that may be true in many cases, there are also times when will see the kindness of individuals come out in full force.

That is what a public relations representative named Katty Castro saw when she looked out her window. She works at the Florida Living Independent Community, and she witnessed an act of kindness that she had to share with others. She posted it on Nextdoor and it went viral.

In speaking with Fox News, she said how her neighborhood is typically quiet so she was surprised to hear laughing and a lot of commotion.

When she looked outside, she saw “four gentlemen pushing one of my lady residents under a heavy storm in Florida.”

The men, in her eyes, were heroes as they pushed her up a big hill towards her home. They were so focused on helping the woman that they didn’t notice the weather and, regardless of how wet they got, they made sure she was dry by holding an umbrella over her.

All in all, close to three-quarters of a mile was covered as the men pushed her from where she was to her home. Castro said that she is also a mother of teenagers and she would like her children to grow up to be like these “modern heroes.”
