Like the rest of us, dads are spending more time at home these days but they are dusting off their DIY skills and taking them for a spin. Some of the projects are fairly normal but others are beyond amazing. That includes this dad who built a personal coffee shop in his backyard, and now you are going to want one as well.
@Juliannastrid shared the pictures on Twitter of her father building a coffee shop in his backyard. It took them about three months to do it. As it turns out, he had the skills because he’s a full-time contractor and he considered this a side project.
“He worked on it ONLY after work & on the weekends,” she shared in a tweet. “He took pieces that were ‘trash’ from old jobs (the doors, materials to build the structure, the front window etc) & repurposed them to create his coffee shop.”

The new tiny coffee shop called “La Vida” is a white painted tiny home with wood accents that brings all of the modern and rustic vibes you could possibly want out of a coffee shop. There’s plenty of light to sit and enjoy your favorite book by, thanks to 2 large windows and there are also string lights to add some ambiance.
Once you’re inside, you have your choice of seats with two chairs and a little table along with a game table and bar seating by the window. Decorations include the coffee bar, a simple menu, mini-fridge, reading material, TV, a large clock, and is that really a small fireplace?
“I’ve grown up watching my dad build amazing things around our house and for other people, he is truly an extraordinary builder,” @Juliannastrid tells House Beautiful.
“He has always had a love for coffee and cozy spots and recently decided to fuel that love into something for his own backyard where the family and our guests can sit back, lounge, and bond,” he continued.
