Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Now that gas prices are so high, many of us are keeping our vehicles at home for the foreseeable future. However, this man has come up with an awesome way to get the most out of his car.

He resides in the state of Arizona, where the desert temperatures will reach highs of well over 100 degrees. You can just imagine how hot it gets inside of a car on these sweltering days.

That’s where this man’s ingenuity comes into play. When his car reaches temperatures of over 200 degrees, he uses them to cook various foods.

Can you believe that this man has allegedly made steaks, burgers, and even cakes in there? Joe Brown is his name and he has started his own bizarre cooking show on TikTok.

It’s an awesome watch, to say the least. He gives a whole new meaning to the old saying about it being hot enough to fry an egg outside. This is not the first time that he has drawn attention for his culinary experimentation, either. It all started back in March 2020, when the pandemic sent everyone home. Joe decided to make the best of things, though.

When he first got started, he was using the roof of his home as a test cooking environment. From there, he moved things into the car and the results have been priceless.

We had no idea that you could actually cook food in these environments.

He’s been able to slow-cook a wide range of meals in the car but all of these experiments have not turned out as expected.

Some people claim he jokes about some of the meals he makes, like the burgers. Some of the comments claimed the burgers had grill marks on them, which obviously wouldn’t be there if they were cooked in a car. Others are fully sold on the cooking method, though!

If it ever gets hot enough, you can give it a test for yourself. If you do decide to proceed, just be sure to follow proper food safety guidelines to avoid getting sick.
