Some would call it an omen, others would say it’s a scene from their worst nightmare. But to this New York resident, what he encountered in his backyard was just down-right confusing.
After a commotion erupted in his backyard, the man decided to take a peek out of one of his upstairs windows. Instead of a group of unruly teenagers taking a dip in his pool, what met his eyes was straight out of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds, which left hundreds of American children (at the time) with a crippling fear of birds.
A massive flock of crows had almost completely taken over the surface of the pool, while hundreds of others invaded the blue tarp around its edges.
“That’s a lot of birds…what are they doing?” he asked himself, curiously tapping on the window. The faint sound of flapping birds wings can be heard through the glass in the background of the video. As he continued to study the perplexing phenomenon, he counted aloud, “There are one, two…there’s like seven million birds out there doing nothing.”
Then his curiosity got the better of him. “I’m, I’m going to open the window. Imma open it. Yeah.”
As the window cracked open and popped up, the sound startled the birds and they instantly took flight… straight toward him!
“Oh God! I should not have done that!” he exclaimed, slamming the window back down. A calm settled over his backyard, and he let out a sigh of relief, “At least they’re gone.”
As soon as the words left his lips, guess who returned? The whole flock! Looks like this guy may have some unexpected company staying for the holidays!
Would you have dared to open your window like this guy?
