Although it may be tempting to snatch up this home because of who owned it, you also need to consider what will be necessary to occupy it. According to the listing notes, the property has “fallen into disrepair and is a major fixer.”

Cobain and Love moved into the home in 1992, which is the same year that their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain was born. Two years later, Cobain committed suicide and Courtney Love continued in her music career and eventually turned to acting.

Nobody is really sure how long they lived there, but much of the third album of Nirvana, “In Utero,” was written inside of those walls.

You can find the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 6881 Alta Loma Terrace. It was built in 1921 and within the 2458 square-foot of living space, you will find an open staircase, two stories, and French doors that go out to a deck. The two bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs is a one-bedroom apartment that you can also convert into a music studio.
