Brooklyn-based ice cream company Van Leeuwen has come up with quite the idea but we are somewhat on the fence. They are now partnering with Kraft to create a limited edition macaroni and cheese ice cream.

As it turns out, these brands simply wanted to make sure that people were given the chance to enjoy their favorite comfort foods, in tandem.

Yes, we love ice cream and we also love macaroni and cheese. That does not make this any less terrifying to try. However, there is a decent chance that this could be a delicious treat.

Kraft shared on Instagram, “They told us we had to do something cool for #NationalMacAndCheeseDay. We took it literally.”

Now that we are starting to get more into the idea, when can we take home some of our own? The date that they chose is quite apt. They released it on July 14, which also happens to be National Macaroni and Cheese Day.

“Available starting TOMORROW, Wednesday 7/14, at our scoop shops in NY, CA, NJ & TX and on our site for nationwide shipping while scoops last,” Van Leeuwen shared on Instagram. Sadly, both Van Leeuwen and Kraft shared updates that they sold out of the flavor.

We may have missed it this time, but at least we know it’s out there. What do you think of the flavor? Would you try it? Let us know!
