Can you believe this transformation? This DIYer got the modern kitchen of her dreams for under $150! Amazing! The look is white or light gray cabinets with sleek fixtures, and of course, granite countertops. Only, these aren’t really granite. You’d never be able to tell though! Keep reading to see how she got this amazing look for a fraction of the price.

Start off by sanding the countertops, making sure to get rid of all the dust. Sanding helps the counter to absorb as much of the paint as possible. Then, prime and paint white.

This next part is where the creativity and magic come in! Dab a line of dark grey paint to make a vein pattern. While that paint is still wet, go on the sides and add a light grey color, while adding some random dabs in the middle of the bigger white spaces. Let all of that dry, and then begin blending the harsh lines in with dabbing white paint over everything. This is the step that makes everything really look like granite!

When everything is dry, add a coat of polyurethane and then sand it down to complete the look!
