KFC Is Testing A Fried Chicken Sandwich Between Two Glazed Donuts
It’s like chicken and waffles but better.
Fried chicken and waffles have been a staple food group in my life as long as I can remember. There’s something about the sweet maple syrup and fried chicken that tastes so good.
KFC totally gets this and announced two weeks ago that it was testing out a donut and fried chicken sandwich in select markets. The sandwich will feature a piece of KFC’s famous fried chicken between two glazed donuts for $5.99.
Believe it or not, the fast-food chain is also testing out a Chicken & Donut Basket meal, which includes chicken on the bone or chicken tenders paired with one donut for $5.49. You can add another donut for a small fee if you want to as well.
Turns out that this soon-to-be iconic meal is already popular in cities like Philadelphia, San Diego, and Portland. This trend takes the sweet and savory combo to the next level.
Sadly, it isn’t available everywhere. KFC is testing out the meal in Norfolk/Richmond, Virginia, and Pittsburgh areas. But we think this will likely be a popular item and you should see it soon in a city near you.
