Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Jason Adcock is an artist based in Los Angeles who has created perhaps one of the most unusual Halloween masks that we have seen in quite some time. It is certainly trendy, and it’s just what we need to celebrate in 2020. The short, blond bob hairstyle on top of the full latex mask is just right for your celebration. All you need is a kid in a stroller and a little rage and the Karen mask will be complete.

Although 2020 has certainly seen an uptick in the use of the term “Karen,” it is nothing new. It has been used for years to describe a white woman who is entitled and goes over the top when she gets offended.

After Adcock created this mask, he shared it on Instagram and on the Kamoras Costumes Etsy Shop. Perhaps he puts it best when he says: “The scariest thing you can be on Halloween!!!!” The mask has “vision slits above the eyes and additional vents in mouth nose and ears.” In other words, it gives you the opportunity to see and hear everything that brings out that inner rage in you.

Adcock says that the mask is one-size-fits-all but if it is too big, you can use a little bit of sponge on the inside to make up the difference. It took some time to create the look with red, angry eyes, an angry mouth, and an expression that shows you what “Karen” is all about.

“It’s never too early to shop for #Halloween #costumes,” Adcock wrote on Etsy. “2020 is the year of the KAREN! Scare all ur friends with ur big hair and narrow mind.”

There have been many names in the past that have been dragged through the mud. Karen is just the newest in a long list and this re-creation is ready for your Halloween celebration.

If you love the Karen mask, make sure that you bring your wallet because it costs $180 plus shipping. It may just be worth it, however, because 2020 is never going to happen again.
