Sony Classics has just released a new film entitled Julia, as Julie Cohen and Betsy West of RBG have looked to recapture the same magic.

As one of the most trailblazing chefs of all time (no hyperbole here), Julia Child is remembered in the film, which serves as a timeless portrait of her many contributions.

She was so easy to relate to and this was a huge part of her charm. The film had access to all sorts of archival footage, personal photos, and interviews that are sure to make your day.

The material was provided by those who know and love her best, making for a viewing experience that is simply unparalleled.

Even if you are someone who did not know as much about Julia Child, this documentary is a fantastic watch. The chefs who were inspired by her were also more than happy to contribute, as to be expected. She casts a long shadow over the world of culinary arts, as she should.

“JULIA tells the story of the legendary cookbook author and television superstar who changed the way Americans think about food, television, and even about women,” the documentary description says.
