Although we have many different beverage choices, the most popular, without a doubt, for waking up is a good cup of coffee. Regardless of whether we make it at home or if we buy it at Starbucks, it’s a treat that we enjoy every single day.

If you’ve ever wondered how many people enjoy drinking coffee and exactly how much they enjoyed drinking it, you will appreciate the results of this new poll. 2000 Americans who drink coffee were questioned, and the results are rather interesting. Kinder Bueno used OnePoll to get these results.

According to a press release, after questioning the 2000 coffee drinkers about their coffee drinking habits, they found out that on average, they enjoyed 2 cups every day and it took about 21 minutes to finish a cup. Many of those would also never pay more than three dollars for a regular-sized coffee.

There were also different ways that people enjoyed brewing their coffee. The most popular was drip, with 19% saying that they use that method. The other methods included espresso (16%), cold brew (14%), and even poor over was included in the list with 13% responding.

What does the average coffee drinker enjoy with a cup of coffee? Those that were asked said that they enjoyed chocolate more than anything else, with 43% leaning in that direction. Others included bread (34%), cheese (31%), and various types of fruit, at 26%.

Since chocolate was at the top of the list, they decided to go further and ask people how they felt when they had both coffee and chocolate at the same time. 75% of those who responded positively to eating chocolate said they felt better emotionally. 84% felt that drinking coffee with chocolate will improve their day.

Some coffee makers are staunch when it comes to their brewing method but others don’t mind experimenting if they have the time. At the top of the list was drip coffee, with 24% responding. Coming in at 14% each were cold brew, pour-over, and Aeropress. A measly 1% said they would drink instant coffee.

Another factor included in the study was where people would enjoy their coffee the most. The top three were at home, reading, and at a café. 54% tied productivity to their drinking of coffee daily.

It seems as if coffee is also something that is enjoyed by those who are trying to get their day started on the right foot. If somebody is stressed out, they are 61% less likely to enjoy that cup of Joe.

In the end, it’s really about enjoying something that we enjoy every day. We all have it as part of our regular habit, so it’s important to make the most of it and do what is right for you.
