People around the world enjoyed celebrating Halloween in 2021. It seems as if that is going to pale in comparison to 2022, however, if Disney has anything to say about it.
Disney waited until the day after Halloween to announce that Hocus Pocus 2 is in production. By the time next fall rolls around, it will be debuting on their Disney+ streaming service. In their words, it is “truly exciting news” for fans.
The filming is already underway in Rhode Island. Two schools in Providence, Moses Brown School and La Salle Academy, have been selected for the on-location filming.
This is going to be a bit of a switch from the original Hocus Pocus movie, which was filmed primarily in downtown Salem, Massachusetts. If you are excited, here’s what we know so far.
The black flame candle is alight to the Sanderson sisters’ delight.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, & Kathy Najimy shall soon return.

Sarah Jessica Parker already blew the whistle on the project and added that all three of the sisters would be returning to the screen for the sequel. Bette Midler also came forward just before Halloween of last year to confirm that it would be the original three cast numbers.
In addition to the three sisters, there will also be some other members coming to the star-studded cast. This includes Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, And Whitney Peak.
They will play three friends who wake up the Sanderson sisters and then things get crazy.
Although we now know that the movie is coming out, we still haven’t seen a Hocus Pocus 2 trailer. It will be interesting to see a little behind-the-scenes action of what is coming in this classic sequel.
