One Oklahoma couple began what they thought was a minor renovation only to discover a whole hidden room.
At first, they thought that they were dealing with a leaky pipe and that was it. However, after they began to investigate the “leak,” they discovered a hidden bathroom.
Anyone who has ever handled home renovation tasks like these in the past can attest to this. It always starts off so simple but then things have a way of devolving into chaos. However, most people don’t discover hidden rooms.
The “leaky pipe” that they thought they were fixing ended up being a walk-in shower that was located behind a makeshift wall.

In a follow-up video, the couple explained that they had just bought their first house with a budget of less than $150,000. Money was tight so they wanted something with light renovations at best, but they weren’t expecting a repair to this extent.
“We were not expecting that at all,” said the woman in their follow-up video. “We knew there was going to be some work that needed to done, naturally,” the man adds. They go on to provide further background on what they were told by the seller.
“The seller told us that it was closed off because it was a leaking drain pan and that it was a small fix, wasn’t going to cost much to fix, but they just didn’t have the time or energy to do it, so they covered it up,” says the woman. It turned out not to be a small leaking drain pan though. What a bizarre find!
