The pandemic has affected our lives in more ways than we can count. Cleveland.com is now reporting on another change, although it was in existence before 2020, it is ideal for life during the lockdown. The Rainforest Car Wash in Medina, Ohio, has once again transformed itself into a haunted carwash for the end of October.

The Rainforest Car Wash in Medina, Ohio, is more than just a place where you go to have your car washed, they entertain anyone who visits. In 2019, they set up a spooky theme for Halloween and became the first drive-through “haunted house” in Ohio. They are now bringing it back for October.

Customers will pay $20 to have their car cleaned and to get scared at the same time. The event begins on October 16th and will run to the 18th. It will start up again on the 23rd of October and run to the 25th. Special weekend hours will also be available: from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Anyone who dares to have their car washed during that time will have creepy costumed characters jumping out at them as they do so. They will then be given a goodie bag to take home.

Although this is the second annual haunted car wash, the community is looking forward to it in a different way this time. They can remain socially distanced while, at the same time, enjoying something that otherwise would have been impossible this year.

“This event is one of the few things you can do this Halloween that is completely safe,” Anthony Bencivenni, Rainforest’s district manager, said in a press release. “Each participant will get to escape from the day-to-day for a little while to enjoy the event from the comfort of their vehicle. This year has been particularly difficult for many in our community, and in light of that, we feel it’s critical to provide an opportunity for our local families to enjoy special moments, have fun together, and make lasting memories.”
