If you happen to be in the UK and you need a great staycation idea, look no further than the Harry Potter-themed lodge that is located in the Chess Valley in Chorleywood.

The site looks very much like Hagrid’s hut from the famous magical book and film series.

While it might take its inspiration from the fictional groundskeeper’s hut, it is called Hagridd’s Hideaway. Yes, it is spelled differently from that of the books and movies. Nevertheless, it’s still pretty cool. The inside is decorated just like a Gryffindor dormitory.

This magical escape can accommodate up to five people. It comes with one large bedroom and has one bathroom, as well as a log burner, a rainfall shower, and a bowl-shaped tub. But the cabin isn’t even the best part. The location of the hideaway couldn’t be better as it’s literally a fifteen-minute drive away from the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studios.

In the area there is also the Roald Dahl museum and Legoland Windsor, not to mention plenty of local pubs. Needless to say, there is play to keep you occupied during your stay.

The hideaway is available for booking on Host Unusual. The prices begin at around £200 per night, and a three-night stay for a family of four can end up being £150 per person. But according to the listing, the spot is perfect for experiencing a balance of new “idyllic country life and the bright lights of the city,” as it’s close enough to transportation into central London.

The description further reads, “Looking for all the world as though it’s been plucked straight from the film set itself – the rustic haven is fun, cheerful, and filled with whimsical delights. Featuring a comical roof and natural stone flooring, there are plenty of nods to the Harry Potter tales, with colourful throws, flickering lanterns, and themed wall art and accessories. Borrow some bikes, or test your footwear in the Chess Valley, or stay on site and indulge in an energetic game of disc golf. If all of that sounds a little too energetic, you could always book an in-hideaway massage and feel your cares drift away on the woodland breeze.”
