This show functions as a spin-off of The Great British Baking Show, which is another popular show for the cooking aficionados out there. Other viewers may know this show as The Great British Bake-Off.
Netflix picked up The Great British Baking Show, increasing its audience around the world. Now, The Great American Baking Show is four seasons deep and has its own dedicated following. If you have been waiting for a new season, you are now in luck. A fifth season has arrived just in time for the holidays. Best of all, no previous viewing experience is required.

Each week, a new group of bakers gathers in a tent and attempts to create goodies that are based on a certain theme. The bakers also have to complete a series of challenges.

By the time the season is over, someone will have won the crown as America’s Best Amateur Baker. Two hosts and two judges are present for the proceedings. The contestants develop a close camaraderie by season’s end and seem to have a genuine connection with one another.
Paul Hollywood is going to be one of the judges of the show and longtime fans will rejoice. Anthony “Spice” Adams and Emma Bunton (formerly of the Spice Girls) are the hosts that will be spending time with the contestants in the tent. The show premiered on December 12.
