Baker Karly Stoddard made a TikTok video explaining how she turns any old boxed cake mix into gourmet cupcakes. The secret? Ignoring the suggested added ingredients on the back of the mix.
For example, the mix she used called for 1 cup of water, 3 egg whites, and 1/4 cup of oil. She substituted the water for milk, the 3 egg whites for 5 whole eggs, and the 1/3 cup of oil for 2/3 cup of melted butter. The result is a more elevated dessert!
