Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Holidays and celebrations are always a great excuse to get your eat on. Thanksgiving is the granddaddy of them all in this regard. We always make sure to pack our stretchy pants when we are getting ready for the big day. Thanksgiving comes with a big dinner (duh) but there is also no shortage of desserts and sides to indulge in. The traditional meal is great, of course.

We cannot wait to start sampling desserts, though. Pecan pie and pumpkin pie are the best pies, in our humble opinion. That does not mean that these are the only pies we have a love for, however. If we had to take a bet on which pie will taste the best, you usually can’t go wrong with pumpkin. These pies are especially delicious when the baker uses their own homegrown pumpkins.

While we are used to seeing certain pies on Thanksgiving, there are other varieties that need to be considered. Maybe you’re the type of person who would rather tuck into a sweet potato pie. Others may prefer the taste of key lime pies. Meanwhile, there are those who would rather try something a bit unusual once Thanksgiving rolls around.

The following video provides you with all sorts of inspiration. For example, have you ever heard of Thai tea pie? If not, this is your chance to try some out. Some readers may want to impress their friends and loved ones with their baking skills. After all, there is no rule that says we need to have pumpkin pie and pecan pie by themselves every single year.

These pies could use some company when they are being laid out on the table. One thing is for sure: the video will provide you with the sort of ideas that you are never going to find anywhere else. This video was shared by the good folks at Tasty and we cannot get enough. It’s the sort of clip that you are going to need to watch more than a few times.

We loved hearing more about all of the pie recipes that are enjoyed at Thanksgiving celebrations around the country. You are sure to love this video as well. Once you have had the chance to see it for yourself, please take a moment to share it with your friends and loved ones. After all, Thanksgiving is going to be here before we know it.
