Now that more people are going into quarantine due to the coronavirus, they are finding new and interesting ways to keep themselves entertained.

Apparently, this also includes coming up with new mixed drinks that contain vitamin C. Unfortunately, it still isn’t a healthy choice.

A woman on Twitter shared an image of the drink that mixes gin and Emergen-C. The makers of the vitamin supplement have chimed in, saying that they don’t think it’s a good idea.

The original picture was posted by Twitter user Marilyn Starkloff. It shows an open packet of Emergen-C leaning against a martini glass alongside a partially empty bottle of Aviation gin. She is calling the new concoction a “quarantini.”

Over 3000 people have liked the tweet and hundreds of people commented.

One of the unexpected comments came from Emergen-C and they weren’t as enthusiastic about the concoction. They said: “We do not recommend taking any of our products with alcohol.”

Aviation also had something to say: “While everyone should take precaution during these times we do not recommend having a ‘Quarantini’ or any alcohol if you’re feeling under the weather.”

They did add, “If you’re feeling fine and of legal drinking age, a little extra Vitamin C consumption doesn’t hurt.”

Ryan Reynolds, the owner of Aviation gin, did not respond to the original tweet, although he was tagged in it. He did, however, retweet the response from Aviation.

The US Department of Homeland Security does provide some guidelines for preparing for a quarantine. A two-week supply of food and water is recommended, as well as stocking up on prescription drugs and medicine if you can.

They do not list liquor in the stockpiling guidelines.
