Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Aside from drinking a shake, eating hardboiled eggs is one of the easiest ways to get your protein in. But most people know that boiling eggs is no easy task. You have to make sure that the eggs don’t bump into each other in the pot and pulling them out with a spoon can be a hazard.

Introducing ‘Egguins,’ an adorable product you didn’t know you needed. Peleg Design wanted to make a device that not only made boiling eggs easier but more fun as well!

To get started, you just need to put your eggs into the “tummies” of the penguins. Then you just drop the ‘Egguins’ into a pot of boiling water and let the eggs cook as you normally would.

The best part is that when your eggs are done, you just have to simply lift them all out by the handle. No need to scoop them out with a giant spoon.

You can also use the ‘Egguins’ to store your eggs in the fridge. Peleg Design describes the product: “Boil, serve and store eggs in the coolest way! This small colony of penguins will hold up to 6 eggs together in the Arctic winter of your fridge or in the hot springs of your pot. The handle will always stay cool for pulling out safely from the boiling water and comfortable carrying to the table or fridge.”

The ‘Egguins’ kitchen tool is currently available for pre-order on the company’s website for $18.

Although the product hasn’t officially launched, people on social media are loving the ‘Egguins’: “Totally unnecessary but I need it.”
