Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

It’s hard to believe that the Disney theme parks are still closed, but as we are all going through the coronavirus pandemic, we know it is for the best. That being said, we also still miss plenty about visiting the theme parks, including some of the food they offer.

At one time, you would have to visit Disney to get some of their Churro Bites or Dole Whip, but today, you can find those official Disney recipes online. There is now another recipe that you can add to the list: Disney’s Cookie Fries.

The Disney Blog released the recipe for Cookie Fries and our life is never going to be the same again. You would typically find these delicious items at the Walt Disney World’s Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, but since they are closed, you can now make them at home. For those who haven’t had the opportunity to try them yet, imagine dunking a chocolate chip cookie in a dipping sauce. Pure heaven!

Gooooood morning Disney fans! In this first picture we have The Cookie Fries from Disney’s Beaches and Cream Soda Shop! These are located in Disney’s Beach Club resort and spa. I did really like the cookie fries but the best part about them was the dipping sauces! They have a chocolate, strawberry purée sauce, and a vanilla like sauce! In the 2nd picture we have the Brownie Á La Mode, the brownie was so delicious especially with the chocolate sauce and whipped cream on top. Thee two are definitely a great choice to get at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! #disneyblogging #disneyworld #disneyfoodblog #disneylife #disneysbeachesandcream #cookiefries #brownies #disneyblogger #disneybound

This is going to turn your time in quarantine around and make you love making your taste buds happy.

There are 32 fries in a single batch of Cookie Fries, but that may just not be enough considering how delicious they are. Why not double or triple the batch, especially if you have more than one person in the house?

The Food & Beverage Communications Coordinator, Alex Dunlap, said that the Cookie Fries are plant-based and vegan. He said, “Similar to biscotti, these chocolate chip cookie sticks come with several plant-based dipping sauces: marshmallow cream, chocolate, and strawberry.”

Another weekend, another Disney Copycat Recipe! 👩‍🍳 I baked @disneyfoodblog ‘s Cookie Fries from Beaches & Cream 🍪 they’re not very pretty, but they turned out swell! Next time, I’ll plan to have a rectangular cookie cutter on hand. Also, for the strawberry sauce, I used a scoop of my friend @brianleslie94 ‘s homemade jam and a splash of coffee creamer 😋🍓 . . . . . #disneyfood #disneyparks #disneyresorts #wdw #waltdisneyworld #waltdisneyworldresort #disneyworld #disneybeachesandcream #disneyboardwalk #beachesandcream #cookiefries #chocolatechips #copycatrecipe #disneyrecipe #disneyfoodblog

Are you ready to get started? Get the following ingredients together:

2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1/2 cup plus one tablespoon plant-based, softened margarine
1 tablespoon molasses
7 tablespoons warm water
5 tablespoons liquid egg substitute
1/2 cup dairy-free mini chocolate chips

Mix the first three ingredients on the list until it is a smooth consistency. You could use a mixer with a paddle attachment to make it easier. You can then combine the water and egg substitute and add the molasses and water mixture to the flour mixture. Mix everything together until smooth and then fold in the chocolate chips.

Put the batter into an 8 x 8 baking pan and transfer it to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. You can then cut the batter into 32 strips that are 1/4 inch wide by 4 inches long. Preheat the oven to 325°F and bake the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. It will take about 20 minutes, but keep your eye on them – they are done when they are crunchy.
