Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Parents everywhere can relate to the idea of wanting to protect their children at all costs. Unfortunately, we live in a world that is full of hazards. It does not matter what we do, it is impossible to keep a child hermetically sealed at all times. That’s why it is important to have a plan of action for any issue that may come up along the way.

There is no shortage of items in our homes that can serve as choking hazards for the little ones if we are not careful. That’s why knowing the proper first-aid technique is so crucial. We’ve all seen these moments before. Our children have an uncanny knack for grabbing things that do not need to be anywhere near their mouths.

There are key differences that parents and caregivers need to learn more about before they can effectively help their children.

If there is one main takeaway that we need to pay close attention to, it is about the importance of keeping smaller objects out of arm’s reach. All it takes is one second of inattention and even the best parents are susceptible to these moments.
